The Eagles had their feathers up and felt reasonably confident in making amends for Wentworth’s defeat of them the week before. Alas! They knew they would be without Ethan Gill who spent a very worry week in hospital, in Melbourne, with complications due to an abscess on his wisdom tooth. But! more was to come!
