At Tuesday night's Council meeting it was resolved to move forward in the process of not only subdividing some Council owned land in Ronald Street, but to also take the bold move of developing some housing on that
subdivision.
The eight plots of land were former road reserves and the intial plan to subdivide and sell the land was begun in 1997, but until June this year, Council had been unable to secure titles to the property.
Now that the titles have been secured, it is proposed that Council could subdivide this land into eight, 400 square meter blocks, and begin the process of developing the land into new housing stock, and selling the properties once completed, to then allow construction to commence on the next building.
