CELEBRATING THE PEOPLE WHO GIVE THEIR TIME TO OUR COMMUNITY: Rosa Chirchiglia

Behind so many of Robinvale and Euston’s events, clubs, organisations and community activities are volunteers who quietly give their time to make things happen.

They might be cooking meals, running a market, helping at a sporting event, organising a festival or simply lending a hand when someone needs it. Often, they don’t do it for recognition, they volunteer because they care about their community and want to see it thrive.

In this Sentinel column, we will meet some of our local volunteers and hear about what inspires them, the organisations they support and some of the memories they have made along the way.

Our first volunteer is Rosa Chirchiglia, whose contribution to the Robinvale community has stretched across Rotary, the Mallee Almond Blossom Festival, the Catholic Church, local sporting clubs and schools.
