It was Friday 26th of March 2021. The weather was calm, the skies were clear of rain and the Murray River was a deep green, mirroring the leaves of the River Red Gum, and Robinvale College Koorie Girls Academy participants gathered in the bush bush for a Cultural Immersion Day. Organised by Koorie Girls Academy key staff members, Bobbie-Jo Togo-Singh and Sharon Urquhart along with Sissy Havea-Pettit. With these ladies taking the lead it was bound to be a great event.
