Community Spirit and Selflessness is the Silver Lining

“Every cloud has a silver lining,” was one of those proverbs we heard about in the ‘50s in our English lessons. (Do the meanings of proverbs still get taught?)

These floods have brought so much destruction to so many, nothing really can make up for the strife they have caused.
