Lahkaya Rogers   has been named the winner of this year’s Easter Drawing Competition, with a creative entry that stood out to the team at the Sentinel. Runners-up Amber Palma and Arljille Villegas  also impressed, making it a close competition. There was a great response from local kids, with  plenty of fantastic drawings submitted. Residents across Victoria are reminded that daylight saving will end on Sunday, April 5, when clocks are turned back one hour. At 3am, clocks will move back to 2am, giving locals an extra hour of sleep but bringing darker evenings as the cooler months approach. The seasonal time change marks the return to standard time and is a good reminder for households to adjust clocks, check smoke alarm batteries and update timers on appliances.

A remarkable act of generosity and courage was on display at Euston Public School on Friday, March 27, as local student Tessa Fielding took part in “The Big Snip for a Cause,” donating more than thirty centimetres of her hair to support children in need. This article continues for subscribers.
